Formula Dreams has started recording its second season
‘Kart Track Interlagos’ welcomed the Story Productions team
After promoting the television series Formula Dreams at the ‘500 Miles of Kart’, held during the last weekend of this January, the production has returned to the filming set. This time, to start recording its second season.
The content, with the debut in Brazil and select countries to be announced shortly, tells the story of young kart drivers and their families behind the scenes of some of the main competitions in national karting.
The first scenes for the second season of
Formula Dreams were filmed during the activities of the inaugural stage of the São Paulo Light Kart Cup. The competition, which received more than 200 competitors in different categories, is currently the most popular state championship event in the Brazil and, precisely for this reason, receives competitors from all over the country.
Nick Story, showrunner of
Formula Dreams, was excited about the start of the second season. “The
Formula Dreams project is one of Story Productions's big bets. Our goal is to show the population the stories that happen behind the scenes of competitions; the joys, anxieties and, of course, the frustrations that the sport involves. The field is very rich to explore, and for that very reason, season two has become a natural continuity,” he explained.
In this first round of filming, the objective was to capture the new kart season, since the first season was recorded in 2018. In addition, identifying the new protagonists of the series energized the producers.
